Watch All The Apple TV Aerial Video Screensavers

Watch them here. Because you have nothing else to do. And they're pretty. You can also choose which you want to see, if you're picky like that. 

"The URL for this data source has now been found in the community. What I’ve done with this page is parse that data and make the list ... of all the videos in the current Apple TV screensaver rotation. You can watch them all above too, streaming directly from Apple’s servers. Just click one one of the links and the movie will start playing.

tvOS currently picks at random1 from this list — you aren’t normally able to choose what video to play. All this page does is grab that data, parse it and display it as a list.

The current set of videos in the list include imagery from China, San Francisco, Hawaii, New York City and London. Interestingly, there are multiple variants for each location as well as separate day and night shots. It seems like the Apple TV will dynamically show a contextually-relevant video for the user’s time of day. It’s also interesting just how many different sequences Apple has for each same location and time.

Apple - The Song

Apparently Apple's new advert is making everyone cry. I'm not sure if I'm just a heartless bitch, but I think it's completely underwhelming. Not a lip quiver or anything. In fact, I think the song sounded a hell of a lot better before her remix, or whatever the hell it is. 

Apple is Misunderstood

Apple hasn't had the best of luck this year with ads, but everyone seems to be going all gooey eyed over this latest spot. But if you ask me, while it's nice, cute and Christmassy, it's not all that. It's generic, very un-Apple (I'm a misunderstood teenager! Wah!), and he never holds the phone horizontally (OK that one was petty, but still). This is something I'd expect from Samsung. Bah humbug and all that. By TBWA.

Update: Thanks to Tim on Twitter who gave me the link from which this quote comes. "In its latest ad, with an 'if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em' message, Apple isn’t carving aspirational ground, it’s caving to people’s vices." Nailed it.
