Oh what I'd give for this to be realised. Andrew Scaife, writer and drawer of comics and such, decided to blend together two of the world's finest things: Buffy and LucasArts' point and click games. The results are nothing short of brilliant. I'm very fond of the scenes he's chosen, but would also have liked to have seen Anya standing on a chair surrounded by bunnies.
You probably remember the incredible trailer for Dead Island from a few years ago (if you have no idea what that is check the link). Well if you thought that was good, just wait until you see this live action version by Machinima Prime. I couldn't take my eyes off it.
Who'd have thunk it? Ordnance Survey, the lot who map Great Britain, are true geeks. Actually, I suppose it's not that hard to believe.
They've mapped GB in Minecraft. You can download it here.
It took two weeks to complete, and was built by an intern, Joseph Braybook, a third-year physics student from the University of Bristol.
"When Joseph joined the team as part of Ordnance Survey's summer internship programme, we discovered he was an avid Minecraft fan," said OS Innovation Lab manager Graham Dunlop. "We decided to build a Minecraft world using free-to-use OS OpenData products to display the landscape and terrain of Great Britain."
